Legendary baseball announcer and past WrestleMania participant Bob Uecker has died.
The Milwaukee Brewers issued a statement that the Baseball Hall of Famer died on Thursday at 90.
Uecker played in the majors from 1962-67 with the Milwaukee Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves before moving behind the booth.
As a broadcaster, he worked with the Brewers for more than fifty years beginning in 1971.
For professional fans, his appearances at WrestleMania 3 & 4 were often replayed throughout the years in highlight videos especially his scene in 1988 when Andre the Giant pretended to choke the announcer during an interview.
Uecker served as a ring announcer for the March 1987 event at the Pontiac Silverdome for the main event between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant and returned for the 1988 show in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
In 2010, Uecker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with Dick Ebersol introducing him at the ceremony in Arizona.
