A new lineup of WWE programming will be heading to A&E next month.
Three original shows will begin premiering on the cable channel beginning February 16, per an announcement made Monday. Two programs will make their debut in just a few weeks, and another series is coming back for its fourth season.
The most anticipated of the trio is WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), a new show which will document 16 prospects in WWE’s system hoping to work their way toward a spot on the NXT roster. The show promises an “inside look” at the training schedule for new WWE signings, “including intense in-ring matches and behind-the-scenes footage.”
WWE LFG is expected to include appearances from talents like Paul Levesque, The Undertaker, Mickie James and Bubba Ray Dudley, as well as regular higher-up NXT names like Shawn Michaels and Booker T.
Matches have been taped for WWE LFG at NXT’s weekly TV events in recent months. The son of legendary boxer Evander Holyfield, Elijah Holyfield, worked a match as part of a taping for the show in December.
Following WWE LFG, a fourth season of WWE Rivals will air on A&E. The show dedicates each episode to a roundtable discussion surrounding a famous past rivalry in the promotion’s history. Some of the upcoming episodes will be dedicated to Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels vs. Scott Hall, and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker.
A&E’s tripleheader of programming on Sunday nights will be finished off by a new 30-minute program titled WWE’s Greatest Moments. The show, hosted by Michael Cole, will look at memorable parts of WWE’s past with interviews from some of the names who shaped those moments.
