Vaquer challenging for the gold and Giulia to defend in a Triple Threat.
The third televised defense of Fallon Henley’s Women’s North American Championship took place on the 1/28 NXT on CW in Atlanta, Georgia.
She successfully defended the title against Shotzi.
As Henley was celebrating on the stage, Stephanie Vaquer showed up. A graphic was then put up to make it official that Vaquer is going to be challenging Henley for the title at NXT Vengeance Day on February 15th.
Kicking off the program was a tag match that saw Bayley and NXT Women’s Champion Giulia besting Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. General Manager Ava did a backstage interview and said she was looking to find the best matchup for Giulia at Vengeance Day. Perez entered the picture alongside Jade and stated that she should not be penalized because Jade took the pin. Ava then announced that it’ll be Giulia versus Bayley versus Perez for the title at Vengeance Day. Cora was not pleased with Perez throwing her under the bus.
Here’s the updated Vengeance Day lineup:
- NXT Championship — Triple Threat Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Austin Theory vs. Grayson Waller
- NXT Women’s North American Championship: Fallon Henley (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer
- NXT Women’s Championship — Triple Threat Match: Giulia (c) vs. Bayley vs. Roxanne Perez
