WWE is going big for their return to France.
WWE announced Wednesday that Premium Live Event (PLE) Clash In Paris will go down on August 31, hailing from the large Paris La Defense Arena. The promotion will stay in the venue for another day following the event, also hosting Monday Night Raw on September 1.
Paris La Defense is a 40,000-capacity indoor venue that has hosted concerts and rugby events since its opening in 2017.
WWE is making the trip to the high-capacity location after presenting its first-ever France-based PLE/PPV last year, heading to the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu for Backlash. While the card had some notable matchups, including Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles, the headline of the night was France’s lively and hectic 11,000 fans in attendance.
Now WWE will be hitting up France’s capital with the opportunity to more than double the attendance they drew a year prior.
The promotion has hosted “Clash” events around June to early September since 2022, with the past two iterations taking place in Wales and Scotland respectively. The series will be ditching the usual “Clash at the Castle” title with the upcoming card.
The date for ticket sales for either upcoming WWE show has yet to be announced.
