Carlito looks back at 2007 WWE Raw segment with Ric Flair, did not view it as Flair ‘shooting’ on him

He did not view it in a negative manner.

A dive into Carlito’s career was done when as he guest appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. They looked back on some of the highlights of his career and one of the moments included his segment on WWE Raw with Ric Flair in 2007.

In the segment, Carlito was leaving the venue before the main event and Flair got into his face and shouted at him about ‘guys like’ Carlito not having passion but being able to take Flair’s spot. He also called Carlito lazy and underachieving. Looking back at that, Carlito does not feel Flair was taking personal shots at him.

It was (cool sharing the screen with Ric Flair). Yeah. I get a lot of flack for it. Apparently, he was shooting on me or something. People around me were like, ‘Oh! you didn’t feel it?’ I don’t know. I didn’t see it that way but okay. But, yeah, it was cool. It was cool because I tagged with him for a little bit too so it was cool having a storyline, and I just saw him.

Elsewhere during the interview, Carlito stated that he has a few more years left in the ring and shared that he’s currently dealing with some injuries.
