Could Meiko Satomura’s retirement tour include another meeting against WWE Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria?

In just a couple of months, Satomura expects to walk away from her career as an in-ring performer, wrapping up an impressive three-decade run. But before then, Satomura has a few opponents she would like to meet one more time. Among them is Valkyria.

Satomura and Valkyria first met back in 2021 as part of NXT UK. Valkyria, who then was known as Aoife Valkyrie, went 11 minutes against Satomura in a losing performance.

The match had an impact on Valkyria, who recently mentioned it as one of the three bouts she’d recommend people go back and watch to learn about her.

“That was a big one that I feel really kind of showed people what I was capable of,” Valkyria recently told Not Sam Wrestling.

Valkyria’s recent comments found their way to Satomura, who replied by stating her interest in another match against her.

“Ohhhh Valkyria,” she wrote on X. “I wanted to have one more match before my retiring.”

Satomura will be travelling around the world in the coming weeks as part of her final tour as a wrestler. The upcoming bookings include a return to Progress later this month, meeting Rhio.
