NJPW extends broadcast agreement with Extreme Channel in the UK

NJPW pleased with the partnership.

The TV deal that New Japan Pro-Wrestling has with Extreme Channel in the United Kingdom has been expanded. NJPW pushed out the news that a new broadcast agreement between two sides has been signed.

As a part of the agreement, major NJPW shows will be airing in full on Extreme via Channelbox, Freeview Channel 271 in the UK. That’ll start with Wrestle Kingdom 19 airing on February 15th.

After successfully partnering with Extreme Channel in the UK for popular airings of Destruction in Kobe, King of Pro-Wrestling and Power Struggle since 2023, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) has inked an extended broadcasting agreement with the channel in the UK that will see the company become a tentpole broadcast offering for the channel in 2025.

The agreement will see major events airing in full on Extreme via Channelbox, Freeview Channel 271 in the UK, beginning with the British television premiere of Wrestle Kingdom 19, airing Saturday, February 15 at 6PM. Wrestle Kingdom 19 will be followed by Wrestle Dynasty in late February, with repeat airings complementing new events on a bi-monthly basis.

Headlined by Shota Umino challenging Britain’s Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, Wrestle Kingdom 19 highlights the bright young cast of NJPW on the biggest stage of the year making for a fitting start to a new era of New Japan on UK TV!
