She said it’d be an honor to go in solo, but LayCool is what put her on the map.

A new interview with Michelle McCool was recorded for an episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet. As the conversation moved along, McCool was asked about the possibility of her going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

McCool pivoted and said she hopes herself and Layla get inducted together as LayCool. Michelle said it would be an honor to be inducted as a solo talent, but her duo with Layla is what put her on the map. She added that she’d love to reunite with Layla at a Royal Rumble event.

I don’t know (if I’ll get the call for the WWE Hall of Fame). I get that question all the time. I mean, it would be an honor. I don’t know. Not my call. Don’t even know whose call it is. But, I have no idea… Oh, (Layla) inducts (me)? Well, I would hope LayCool would go in and you know, everybody always asks — I mean, that would be an honor to go in as Michelle McCool obviously but… LayCool is what put Michelle McCool really on the map, and I’ll never take that for granted. But she just disassociated from wrestling for quite some time and I respected that. Would I give anything to have a LayCool reunion at a Rumble? Yeah… Yeah, every once in a while (we keep in touch). It’s one of those deals, we don’t have to talk every day. Not even every month but nothing changes.

Well, I appreciate it (that people think there’s a case for me to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame). I do. My daughter asks me all the time. I’m like, ‘Would you hush? I don’t know. I don’t know. Don’t rub it in. I don’t know.’

In the fall of 2024, Layla echoed similar sentiments. She is interested in a reunion with Michelle and expressed that she’d love for them to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a duo.
