Perez also heaped praise onto Bayley during the discussion.

WWE’s NXT brand is set to present their Vengeance Day Premium Live Event from Washington, DC. One of the title matches on the bill will see Giulia defending her NXT Women’s Championship in a Fatal 4-Way against Bayley, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade.

Perez made the media rounds to promote the show and one of her stops was a chat with Rick Ucchino of The Takedown on Sports Illustrated. She expressed that it makes her ‘a little sad’ that her run in NXT may be coming to an end.

It’s definitely a mix of emotions. It’s really cool to just be able to look at all these moments (I’ve had) and for Shawn Michaels to have had so much trust in me and belief in me, and root for me the whole way. It makes me a little sad that it maybe could be over, but of course I’ll be back.

She went on to heap praise onto Bayley and stressed that the multi-time WWE Women’s Champion cares about the future of the company’s women’s division.

Bayley is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. She’s so giving, she cares about the future and it’s really cool that I’m getting to work with her now, but I gotta prove to her that ‘The Prodigy’ is a little better.
