‘Timeless’ Toni Storm defeated Mariah May in the main event of AEW Grand Slam Australia.

The title match win makes her the first four-time AEW Women’s World Champion.

May and Storm took each other’s finishers multiple times in the closing stretch of the match, managing to kick out each time.

In the end, Mariah hit Toni with her own Storm Zero and set up for the May Day. Storm was able to escape, rolling up May in a small package for the pinfall win.

Mariah May won the title from Storm at AEW All In in August 2024, and successfully defended it seven times.

The win caps off the latest twist in the saga between the two. After losing the title at All In, Toni disappeared from AEW programming before returning as her original character.

This version of Storm presented herself as a “rookie”, with no memory of her feud with May.

That was revealed to be a ruse on AEW Collision: Homecoming special on January 25th, when Storm vowed revenge on May.
