She thinks she’ll have her WrestleMania moment.

Over the last month and a half, Michin has been involved in a program with WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green.

Their latest match took place on the 1/31 Friday Night SmackDown during which Michin won via disqualification. Michin expressed during her appearance on THE SPEAKEEZY podcast that there was a point in her second WWE run when she accepted that she was being used to put other people over.

She thought she’d never get a WrestleMania moment but no longer thinks like that. Michin added that over the last year, her momentum is growing even if she’s losing because she’s consistently on television.

Wrestling is definitely still the passion. Everybody that gets into wrestling, their main goal is like WrestleMania, right? So I think, for a while, because I was one of the people they used to kind of help get other people over and to make other people look good. So to me, I accepted that. ‘I’m never gonna have a WrestleMania moment…’ Not anymore (do I think like that).

I feel like the last year… my momentum has just been shooting up. Even if I’m losing, I’m still wrestling and I’m still constantly on TV and every opportunity I’m getting, I’m able to create my character, perfect it a little bit more and just getting the people to know who I am and I’m in a feud with Chelsea Green for the U.S. Title and it’s like, damn, I would have never thought I’d even be in the picture for a title and here I am. So now I’m like, shoot, when I get this U.S. Title, Mania is definitely a possibility so, yeah, feeling good now.

In another portion of the conversation, Michin spoke candidly about feeling like she is having trouble connecting with the audience. Head over to this link for more on that.
