Nyla Rose: I wasn’t ready the first time I won the AEW Women’s World Championship

Rose explains why she feels that way.

Since the inception of All Elite Wrestling in 2019, there have been nine wrestlers who’ve held their Women’s World Championship.

The second name to obtain the gold was Nyla Rose. She bested Riho to become champion. Rose looked back on that as she doing a joint virtual signing with Damage365 Promotions and Captain’s Corner

She shared her opinion that at the time, she was not ready to be Women’s World Champion. If Rose were to become champion again, there are some things she’d like to correct from the first run and do differently.

I won the (AEW Women’s World) championship and it meant the world to me. Never thinking I would be signed, be at this level. But to be at the top, at the pinnacle of the promotion, the top of the food chain at this level. Now, I have a target on my back and everybody’s gunning after me. I wasn’t ready the first time I won. As emotional and as amazing as it was, I wasn’t ready at the time. I thought I was but I wasn’t. Now having been on the roster, been on the road and doing everything, there are some things I would like to correct from my first title reign and just do things a little bit differently. So if I ever get the opportunity to fight for the championship again and I come out victorious, I think it’s gonna be a little bit different this time.

Rose was a part of the matches taped on the Chris Jericho Cruise. The last time she wrestled on television for AEW was on a November episode of Rampage.
