One of NJPW’s hottest names will appear on AEW’s Collision this weekend.

NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd is booked for Saturday’s episode, which is taping this evening in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s unclear who he will meet on the show.

Kidd has been a rising name in NJPW over the past year, serving as the leader in the Bullet Club War Dogs faction. He most notably went 31 minutes with Kenny Omega at the NJPW and AEW Wrestle Dynasty card in January, producing a match that was widely praised by viewers.

Kidd has made only a few past appearances in an AEW ring. In 2024, he worked a pair of ROH TV tapings, appeared in a Rampage match, and also wrestled on the kick-off for Forbidden Door.

The 27-year-old Nottingham-born wrestler has been in the U.S. since last weekend when he worked GCW’s Jersey J-Cup doubleheader in New Jersey. He faced Homicide on the first night, then met Mance Warner on the second show.

It was also revealed on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite that Max Caster will issue another open challenge on this week’s Collision. Since his separation from Anthony Bowens, Caster has claimed to be the best wrestler in the world.

Unfortunately, past open challenges have seen him come up short against Rush and Adam Page in less than two minutes. Maybe his luck will change this weekend.
