AEW Dynamite has gained a solid last-minute addition.
Rising AEW talent Megan Bayne will face off against former TBS Champion Kris Statlander as part of this evening’s card from the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, as revealed on Wednesday afternoon.
The matchup is coming together following an altercation between the two on last week’s Dynamite. Bayne attacked Statlander just before her match against Penelope Ford last Wednesday. Statlander was able to mount a comeback and beat Ford in nine minutes.
The booking is Bayne’s first major matchup since returning to AEW programming last month. The promotion has built her up since re-debuting for them in January, picking up a pair of quick squash match wins in recent weeks.
