TNA Wrestling will make its debut in Brampton, Ontario later this year.
The promotion will head to the CAA Centre for a doubleheader of TV tapings from May 23 to 24, as announced Wednesday.
Brampton is the second-largest city included in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The city is a half-hour drive from downtown Toronto, meaning the upcoming shows will be able to attract some of its audience from the major Canadian market.
The CAA Centre, which has been open since 1998, can hold up to 5,000 for sporting events, depending on the venue’s configuration.
TNA’s last Ontario card dates back to just under a year ago when Sacrifice took place in Windsor. They are also expected to make a trip up to Montreal, Quebec later this year for Slammiversary, then return the next night for a TV taping.
A pre-sale for the Brampton shows will begin next Wednesday, with a general on-sale beginning on the 28.
