She is eager to continue progressing.

One of the matches on the marquee for AEW Grand Slam Australia was Harley Cameron challenging Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship.

In what was a 12-minute bout, Moné retained over Cameron in Cameron’s home country. Days after the event, Cameron shared her thoughts on Busted Open After Dark.

Starting off with performing at the event itself, she said it was one of the biggest moments of her life.

It was very nice to go home and kind of show everyone, like, hey, a lot of sacrifice happened but, it all paid off and I’m doing what I love now and just having everyone there meant the world to me. It was one of the best moments of my life for sure.

When it comes to the final result, Harley said not winning has lit a fire under her. She is not feeling defeated and added that Mercedes brought something new out of her.

I think that not winning that day (at AEW Grand Slam Australia) just lit a fire in me and I’ve come home not feeling defeated. I’ve come home feeling inspired. I want to do better, I want to be better, I want to learn more. My main goal and prerogative is to just expand in every way that I can. I just want to be in the ring, I want to be training, I want to be learning from the best. I want to be just doing everything possible to know that the next time that-that opportunity comes that I’m gonna keep evolving and keep getting further and further in the progression of my career and I haven’t been doing it very long. I’m very proud of myself and where I am now but, Mercedes (Moné) is absolutely incredible. She’s one of the best wrestlers alive, and it felt very good having that competitive match with her and she brought out something new in me, she pushed me to new levels and I took a lot of positivity away from it and I just wanna come back better and better and that is the goal.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Cameron opened up about her rise in AEW and it picking up with the commercial she did for Shop AEW.

She credited R.J. City for helping her put that together. Cameron was expecting it to be pushed out on social and digital platforms, but was not expecting it to air on television.

I will say, when I did it (Shop AEW commercial), I thought it was just going on social media. I didn’t know it was going on television at all. So, that was a nice surprise for me. But, I knew we had this great sale going and we have some fantastic things at ShopAEW.com. Check it out. They asked me, ‘Hey, do you wanna help us do this?’ And I thought, ‘Yes! Absolutely!’ I had some help actually from the wonderful R.J. City actually. I have to give credit to him. Thank you sir… He hates the credit. Take the credit! You’re excellent at your job, mate. But, we were brainstorming together and came up with it and we wrote it and it turned out very fun and ended up on television so thank you, whoever decided that, and yeah, it was a fun, little project. I get to do lots of fun things here. It’s fantastic.

The TBS Championship remains in Mercedes Moné’s possession and next up for the champion is a title defense at Revolution against STARDOM’s Momo Watanabe.
