Brock Rechsteiner, son of Scott Steiner, signs WWE NIL deal

The news was shared by his brother Brandon.

Three members of the Steiner family ventured into pro wrestling as Scott and Rick are world-traveled in the business and obtained a multitude of titles during their run as a tag team. Bron Breakker is currently with WWE and is the company’s reigning Intercontinental Champion.

There is interest in Scott’s son Brock Rechsteiner, who plays football for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Rechsteiner was offered a WWE N.I.L. contract.

Confirmation about Brock’s status with WWE as an N.I.L. athlete was given by his brother Brandon Rechsteiner during an interview with Jim Varsallone. He said his brother signed the N.I.L. deal and knows he wants to go to WWE.

Brandon plays basketball at Virginia Tech and he has aspirations of becoming a pro basketball player. He said wrestling can be his backup plan. He made a comment about him, his brother and Bron Breakker forming their own version of The Bloodline.

So my brother, he’ll be a superstar in the WWE, for sure. Growing up, I was the big WWE fan. I had every action figure. I was the biggest WWE fan. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t gonna be John Cena when I was younger and then I kind of — I was just that kid that was trying to go against everything so my dad was a Michigan fan, I wanted Ohio State to win. My dad was a wrestler. I was like, ‘I don’t wanna wrestle. I want to play basketball.’ I was that kid, but when I was young-young, I loved it and then when I was in middle school, I was like, ‘I’m not gonna wrestle’ but now… my dream for me and my brother would both be to do the best we can in what we do, which him for football, me for basketball and then, for my brother, I know he really wants to be in WWE. He has signed an N.I.L. deal with WWE so, my dream for him would be to do really good in football, try to take it to the NFL, whatever that means and then getting — and he will be a WWE superstar because he’s so talented and he has the charisma that my dad has and then for me, I wanna try to do as much basketball, whether I get drafted, I go undrafted, I get a G League offer, I go overseas, whatever it’ll be. Because I just love the game and then, to be in the WWE would be a pretty cool backup plan. Maybe be a Steiner brother 2.0 or me, Bronson (Bron Breakker) and my brother, we do a little Bloodline or something like that and just take it over.

Later in the interview, Brandon was asked for his thoughts about Breakker’s viral spear on streamer IShowSpeed at the Royal Rumble. Brandon mentioned that his brother Brock was in attendance with the WWE N.I.L. crew.

So, I was obviously watching (the Royal Rumble when Bron Breakker speared IShowSpeed). I think that was when we were coming back from UVA. So, I was watching with some of the guys and I didn’t expect it to go as viral as it did. My brother actually got flown out for the event because he was with the N.I.L. club at WWE. But man, I was just like, ‘Dang,’ and then just everyone’s posting it, all my friends are posting it, not knowing that’s my cousin… I’m cool with all the dudes in WWE. We play the video game together, all those top guys. Seeing when my cousin got posted, I’m like, ‘Dang, that would be cool to do one day…’ My cousin, he was good to me too. He played football. Sometimes I would go over there and work out with him and he always believed in me as a football player and he was a beast so that spear that he’s done, if you see him tackle when he was a linebacker in high school, it was ridiculous. To me, he was the best football player I’ve seen in high school.

Breakker was featured on the 2/17 edition of Monday Night Raw. He attempted to sneak up on A.J. Styles to spear him, but Styles moved out of the way and Breakker connected with Dominik Mysterio.
