Nixon Newell a.k.a. Tegan Nox’s second run with the WWE came to an end in November 2024 when she was released from the company. She was initially brought back in December 2022 after being released the first time in November 2021.
Newell shared a note from her WWE run(s) while she was a guest on Highspots’ Sign-it-Live. She stated that the Tegan Nox character is so far removed from who she is. Newell added that WWE wanted her to be ‘the girl next door’ and not the pop-punk/emo person that she is.
I’m very emo, pop-punk. This is me. Tegan Nox was so far removed from me that I was trying to get this through but I just wasn’t allowed. They preferred me to be the girl next door, instead of tattooed up punk kid.
She is officially a free agent and is scheduled for a match under the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling banner. She’ll be taking on TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Dani Luna.
