For the first time in more than two years, Clark Connors will soon be in an AEW ring again.
The two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion teased his return to the promotion in a recent vignette posted by the promotion.

Connors last appeared on an AEW card back in June 2022, when the promotion collaborated with NJPW for the first-ever Forbidden Door card. Connors wasn’t originally planned to appear on the card but was slipped into a four-way match for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship after an injury forced Tomohiro Ishii out of the bout.
“Last time you saw me in an AEW ring, I went wild at Forbidden Door,” Connors said in the video package. “I almost made history with the biggest upset you’ve ever seen.”
The recent AEW clip made reference to how Connors has undergone a character change since his 2022 Forbidden Door appearance. He is now a prominent name in the War Dogs faction, alongside Gabe Kidd and Drilla Moloney.
Connors ally Kidd notably wrestled on last weekend’s episode of AEW Collision. Both talents are in the U.S. after competing in GCW’s Jersey J-Cup a little over a week ago.
It’s currently unclear when Connors will get his AEW return bout.
