Former WWE talent Ezekiel Jackson believes he has a little more left in the tank.
Jackson, 46, announced on social media this week that he has an in-ring return slated for next month, and that he hopes to put together a run nearly 10 years his last in-ring appearance.
“I continue asking myself if I ended my career the way I wanted,” Jackson said in a recent social media post. “And for the most part, I didn’t. So I’ve always had that little bit of chip the my shoulder as to I want to end this the way I want to.”
Jackson is booked to appear on a Fortitude Wrestling Entertainment (FWE) show in North Carolina on March 15. The promotion is currently promoting a three-way match between him, incumbent FWE heavyweight Champion Sylvian, and Fodder.
Jackson most notably worked for WWE from 2007 to 2014, including a stint as the Intercontinental Champion. Following his time in the promotion he made appearances under other aliases like Rycklon and Big Ryck, appearing around the indies, in TNA Wrestling, and on Lucha Underground.
Jackson’s last match was a 2015 appearance for wXw, per Cagematch.
“I’m looking forward to doing what I love,” Jackson said. “I’ve always loved professional wrestling, I’m a fan from the time I was 8 years old. I’ve travelled the world, faced a lot of amazing people. There are some people who I’d love to compete against that’s still out there. So here we are. New year, 2025. I’m ready for this. Ready to have some fun. This journey’s gonna be fun.”
