WWE and the UFC will visit Perth in Western Australia for five events over the next 18 months.
The deal was revealed in The West Australian on Friday. The arrangement was arrived at between the state government and TKO at some point before elections were called in the region.
The cost to the state government is not known, but The West Australian reports that there is $37 million AUD in the budget to bring major events to the area.
State premier Roger Cook is quoted as saying:
The return of UFC and WWE in 2025 is a major coup for Western Australia, following the roaring success of UFC 284 and WWE Elimination Chamber that collectively injected nearly $50 million into our economy last year.
The upcoming events include a weekend of WWE shows anchored by a PLE:
- A UFC Fight Night at the RAC Arena, Perth, later in 2025
- SmackDown at the RAC Arena, Perth, later in 2025
- A PLE to be named at the RAC Arena, Perth, later in 2025
- Monday Night Raw at the RAC Arena, Perth, later in 2025
- A UFC pay-per-view in 2026
The 2024 edition of WWE Elimination Chamber emanated from Optus Stadium in Perth.
