New Japan Cup results (3/15/25): Hirooki Goto defends IWGP World Title, semifinal matches set

Semifinals of the New Japan Cup are set.

The 2025 New Japan Cup tournament is nearing its end as the semifinal matches have been locked in. The March 15th show took place at Dolphins Arena in Nagoya and there were 2,752 people in attendance.

It was headlined by Hirooki Goto’s second defense of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship and below are the results:

  • Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI def. T.M.D.K. (Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson)
  • United Empire (Great-O-Khan, TJP, Callum Newman & Jakob Austin Young) def. El Phantasmo, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Toru Yano & Oleg Boltin
  • House of Torture (Ren Narita, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) vs. Gabe Kidd, SANADA & Chase Owens ends in double count-out
  • Los Ingobernables de Japon (Yota Tsuji, Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI) def. House of Torture (EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi & Dick Togo)
  • New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match: Shingo Takagi def. Drilla Moloney
  • New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match: Shota Umino def. Jeff Cobb
  • New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match: David Finlay def. Yuya Uemura
  • New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match: Zack Sabre Jr. def. Taichi
  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Hirooki Goto (c) def. Yuji Nagata
