Ricochet states that he views everything as an opportunity.
Before Ricochet opted to leave WWE, the backend of his run there saw him become the inaugural WWE men’s Speed Champion. He held the belt from April 2024 until June 2024 when he lost it to Andrade.
While sitting down with Adrian Hernandez for an interview, Ricochet was asked about that branch of WWE programming and said he was not offended by being booked for it. He expressed that he viewed it as an opportunity.
No (I was not offended by being booked on WWE Speed)… You got to look at everything as an opportunity and if you don’t, then I think you’re already kind of defeated. You have to look at everything — especially, you know, they were putting something into this and I wanted to be a part of, again, building something. Building something and making it as big as possible. I like that feeling and so, again, any opportunity you get, you gotta strike and that’s kind of the way I see it and that’s with everything. Life, wrestling, everything.
Ricochet is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling. He is competing in the Eliminator tournament to determine the challenger to Kenny Omega’s International Championship at Dynasty on April 6th. Ricochet’s first round opponent is Katsuyori Shibata.
