Matt Riddle states that it was difficult to work with Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens: “It’s hard to put a complete sentence together with those guys”

Riddle brought up Owens and Zayn.

There’s a new interview with Matt Riddle that was pushed out by Scott Johnson of the Going Ringside podcast and as the conversation moved along, Riddle was asked to name the hardest opponent he’s faced in the ring.

He mentioned Sheamus as being someone who hit hard, but it was easy to put a match together with him. Riddle then added that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were difficult to work with and said it was hard to get a complete sentence in while communicating with them.

Hardest opponent? Hardest opponent in the ring? I would have to say Sheamus. Sheamus, easy to work with, hits really hard. So hardest in the ring. But, then when I think about who’s harder to maybe work with, I would have to say Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens… It’s hard to put a complete sentence together with those guys if you know what I’m saying… Very difficult. Sheamus hits ya hard, but it’s easy to put together.

Riddle, Owens and Zayn were featured on television together coming out of WrestleMania 39. They tagged together three times in 2023.

Riddle is the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion and is scheduled to defend his title in the 40-man Battle Riot match on April 5th.
