Each episode in AEW’s “Slam Dunk” Collision special will feature a title match this weekend.
Due to TNT’s continued coverage of NCAA March Madness basketball, AEW’s Saturday night program, Collision, won’t air in its usual timeslot.
Instead of being a two-hour show at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday this weekend, Collision will be split into a pair of one-hour programs that air following the final NCAA game of the day on Saturday and Sunday (projected for 11 p.m. ET).
On the “Slam Dunk Saturday” episode of Collision, Daniel Garcia will continue his incredibly busy run as TNT Champion against Adam Cole.
Garcia and Cole fought for 15 minutes earlier this month, although their title bout was thrown out after a run-in from Lee Moriarty, Carlie Bravo, and Shawn Dean. Cole will get a fair shot at the title this week, as others will be barred from ringside during the match.
The next night, the “Slam Dunk Sunday” Collision will be headlined by an AEW World Trios Championships match.
The incumbent champ trio of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli and PAC, all of whom returned on Wednesday’s Dynamite, will put their titles on the line against the team of AR Fox and Top Flight.
The Death Riders team will attempt to defend their titles for the seventh time as they close in on the record title run of Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed.
Here’s a look at everything that was announced for this weekend, all of which will be taped tonight following AEW Dynamite. Other matchups include a trilogy bout between Julia Hart and Queen Aminata and a singles appearance from Bandido.
