The champion takes notice of Natalya’s pending arrival.
For the first time since 2007, Natalya is going to be competing outside of the WWE banner. She is scheduled for GCW/Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII in April and on May 17th, she’ll be debuting for the National Wrestling Alliance at their Crockett Cup special.
The reigning NWA World Women’s Champion Kenzie Paige spoke about Natalya’s pending arrival while on Busted Open. She stated that she would like to defend her title against her.
It’s amazing to sit back and see the presence and the name-value and the positive light that Nattie has brought to the NWA and the Crockett Cup event. On top of it being such a historical venue, the ECW Arena. I mean, now you have Nattie coming from WWE. It shines such a positive light and it is bringing a lot of positive press to the National Wrestling Alliance and for that, I’m forever thankful. But, being the NWA Women’s World Champion and I have been for 570 days, with her coming to the NWA, I can only hope that, you know, maybe she sees the work that I’ve put in and the fact that I’ve tried to carry the NWA for the last three years on my back and for whatever that’s worth, she’s coming to NWA, May 17th and we’ll see where it goes from there.
Oh, 100 percent (I’d like to defend my title against Natalya). I mean, it’s Nattie. But, if it comes and it arises, I’m not gonna back down. That’s all I’ll say.
Paige has been in possession of the NWA World Women’s Title since August 2023 when she defeated Kamille to win the belt. She’s had 25 title defenses since then.
Kenzie is also one-half of the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions with Big Mama.
