Details of the canceled season.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic began, Netflix began filming for season four of their G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) series.
The show ended up being canceled as a result of the pandemic. AEW signee Viva Van was a part of the filming that was done for the season and she shared details on AEW Unrestricted.
She stated that there was going to be a backstory introduced on women independent wrestlers and she was going to be part of that group. Van added that Taya Valkyrie was set to play the leader of the independent wrestlers group.
I was (going to be a part of Netflix’s GLOW series) and I’m so sad that that season got canceled because I had so many cool outfits for my shots and my scenes. I was so sad. But yeah, I got to be a part of that and that was really incredible.
For this one, I just got a text message from Chavo Guerrero out of nowhere (she laughed). I was like, ‘How the hell did Chavo get my number?’ But it was recommended from another wrestler so I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ That’s how I got in. No audition required. Just a text from Chavo Guerrero one morning.
So, GLOW was gonna start having a backstory about indie wrestling’s indie women. I was part of the indie women touring… And Taya (Valkyrie) was the leader of our group.
Both Valkyrie and Van are under contract to All Elite Wrestling.
