Orlando is aiming to offer major incentives to TKO in the hopes of landing several WWE and UFC events over the next six years.
The Orlando Business Journal reports that the Greater Orlando Sports Commission is seeking an $18 million grant to bid on multiple events under the TKO umbrella, pending approval by Orange County.
If approved, they plan to bid on the following:
- 2026: WWE Survivor Series or Saturday Night’s Main Event at the Kia Center
- 2027: UFC pay-per-view in August or September
- 2028: WWE Royal Rumble at Camping World Stadium
- 2031: WrestleMania at Camping World Stadium over two nights and surrounding events in the city
Jason Siegel of the sports commission stated in the article that they estimate $120 million of economic impact would be generated and that the group has been working over the past two years on this initiative.
Last year, WWE announced a multi-year partnership with the Indiana Sports Corp. to bring a series of premium live events and television tapings to the state of Indiana throughout the partnership. It began with this past February’s Royal Rumble and will include future editions of SummerSlam and WrestleMania.
Orlando previously hosted WrestleMania in 2008 at the Citrus Bowl, and 2017 at Camping World Stadium.
