TNA’s “Youngest In Charge” has received some massive praise from tag team royalty.

The Hardy Boys recently spoke positively about 20-year-old Leon Slater, whom they have shared the ring with in TNA Wrestling a few times this year.

When asked about the names that are impressing them the most in TNA currently, Matt and Jeff told the Battleground Podcast that Joe Henry and Frankie Kazarian come to mind.

Then, Jeff mentioned Slater, a British up-and-comer who officially signed a deal to join the TNA roster in 2023.

“That guy’s gonna be a huge star,” Jeff said. “When I first heard about that Swanton 450 [of Slater’s], I was like, what is that? Matt sent me a clip of that, I was like, ‘Oh my god, how is that even humanly possible to pull off?'”

As mentioned by Jeff, Slater has a variation on the former WWE star’s Swanton Bomb, which sees him make a 450 rotation while in the air. The athletic feat of a move is something he has been able to showcase many times in TNA, including when he did it off the top of a steel cage during a recent tag match with the Hardy Boys.

Matt Hardy further praised Slater and explained how he feels like he and Jeff have a duty to help him grow in his early years as a performer.

“He’s 20 years old. Such a bright future in front of him, and he gets it,” Matt said. “He’s one of the guys we kind of prepare with a little bit. I think it’s our job to kind of give him some of our rub and also instruct him on how to improve, how to be better, and lead him down the right path. It’s been a blast, been an absolute pleasure working with Leon.”
