Randy Wants #15
Smackdown from London kicked off with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes coming down to the ring to a massive reaction. Of note was that this was the debut of new WWE announcer Mark Nash (FKA Mark Shunock of Top Rank Boxing).

Rhodes could hardly get words out as the crowd sang his name and chanted “Let’s Go Cena / Cena Sucks”. Cody started talking about how he would be face-to-face with Cena this coming Monday on Raw when Randy Orton’s music hit. Orton said that leaving WWE when he did took some “big-ass balls” and that Rhodes changed the business single-handedly. Randy said that ticket sales are up and that interest in WWE is at an all-time high, and that is 99.9% because of Cody.
INCREDIBLE WAY TO KICKOFF SMACKDOWN.

Orton turned his attention to Wrestlemania and said he was going to kick Kevin Owens’ head off of his shoulders, and he knew that Cody would beat John Cena as well. He said that just like John Cena, there would be a day when he would come after “#15,” but he would look him in the eye and tell him directly when it happens. This brought out Drew McIntyre, who called Orton and Rhodes “Nepo Babies” and wondered what Orton did to justify getting a title match after Mania. He then called Damian Priest a “Guyliner-wearing, Temu Undertaker” and claimed he would be next in line for a title shot at Cody. McIntyre said Orton looked jacked on the outside, but he knew that his back was hanging by a thread. Cody Rhodes then attacked McIntyre, and McIntyre countered an RKO attempt and retreated to end the segment, rather abruptly. After a commercial break, it was announced that Randy Orton would face Drew McIntyre later tonight.
WWE Tag Team Championship
The first match on the card saw The Street Profits defending their newly won championships against London’s own Pretty Deadly. The Profits controlled the early portion of the match with Pretty Deadly mounting a comeback during the ad break. The crowd was obviously behind their hometown heroes, donned in matching Union Jack gear. Things really picked up from here, with fast and furious near falls and the crowd biting big time on all of them. Then, somewhat out of nowhere, the Profits hit their Doomsday Blockbuster for the pinfall victory.

Green Regime No More
Footage from earlier in the day was shown with the Secret Hervice (what happened to the “Green Regime”?), interrupted Zelina Vega talking with Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. Vega complained about Fyre and Niven interfering in her match, so Chance and Carter stepped up and challenged them to a match. Of course, the Secret Hervice took every opportunity to cheat behind the referee’s back as the crowd sang for Chelsea Green. Chance and Carter got a near fall after a Keg Stand on Niven, but Fyre broke it up. Chelsea Green got involved, distracting the faces, and Piper Niven hit a Piper Driver for the win. After the match, the heels started beating down the faces, and finally Zelina Vega ran down to help. Vega brawled with Green as the crowd booed, but Zelina was eventually squashed by Piper Niven to end the segment.

United States Championship
Next up on the card was Braun Strowman, who was challenging LA Knight with the United States Championship on the line. Before this match began, musician Lewis Capaldi and fighter Iban Elliot were shown in the crowd.
Braun Strowman dominated LA Knight in the early goings, but Knight was able to recover and take Strowman down to the mat with a bulldog. Strowman then countered a BFT attempt and dumped Knight to the outside. Braun set up for the Strowman Express when Jacob Fatu appeared, attacking Strowman and hitting him with a Samoan Drop on the announce table. LA Knight tried to help, but he was hit with a pop-up Samoan Drop for his efforts. Fatu then hit multiple running hip attacks on Strowman in the corner, followed by two jump-up moonsaults, much to the London crowd’s delight. Later backstage, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga asked what happened out there. Fatu said when it comes to Strowman, he will be the last man standing, and he would bring home the US title with them or without them.
JACOB FATU JUST ATTACKED BRAUN STROWMAN & LA KNIGHT CAUSING A DISQUALIFICATION.
LISTEN TO THAT CROWD REACTION FOR FATU

Jimmy’s Slap Heard ‘Round the World
Jackie Redmond interviewed Jimmy Uso backstage and asked about him slapping Gunther this past week on Raw. The Miz & Carmelo Hayes made fun of Jimmy, calling him “The Other Uso” and saying that neither he nor Jey would beat Gunther. Jimmy then feigned slapping Miz, and he cowered in fear. Jimmy said he was going to talk to Nick Aldis and ask for a match against Miz tonight.

Naomi Promo Package
A pre-produced Naomi promo package aired, and she was now wearing full caution tape as her outfit, as she said she’s always one to do the right thing. Naomi began to cry and wondered how Jade came from out of nowhere to replace her. Naomi said she always had Bianca’s back from day one, but she’s learned that she’s done with being treated as a third wheel. Her message to Jade was “If you continue to be in my way, proceed with caution”.

Backstage, Jade was complaining to Nick Aldis about not being able to find Naomi when she ran into B-Fab and Michin. They said Naomi deserved what was coming to her, and Michin was going to take out Charlotte tonight.

Naomi Attacks, Charlotte Benefits
Michin and B-Fab came down to the ring for Michin’s match against Charlotte Flair, but Naomi appeared and attacked both women until Jade Cargill ran down to chase Naomi off. Jade helped B-Fab to the back when she ran into Charlotte Flair and the two had a staredown.
Michin was still recovering from the attack, but still agreed to start the match with Charlotte. Despite the disadvantage, Michin still was able to hang with Charlotte for a little while, even hitting Eat Defeat, but Charlotte was able to get her foot on the rope with the crowd chanting for VAR (look it up if you’re not a soccer fan). Finally, Charlotte locked in the Figure Eight for the tapout victory. Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviewed Tiffany Stratton, who said she couldn’t get a word in last week but she was going to force Charlotte to leave her ego in Las Vegas.
Years of seeing the figure 8 always impressive. Charlotte Flair with another W!

Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre
The next match of the evening saw Randy Orton take on Drew McIntyre, as set up by the first segment of the show. McIntyre targeted Orton’s back as the match began, as Joe Tessitore noted that the two competitors had met with the WWE Championship at stake four times prior. Orton gained control of the match with the draping DDT and then set up for the RKO when Kevin Owens appeared standing in the aisle. This distracted Orton as McIntyre hit the Claymore on Orton for the pinfall victory. After the match, Owens went for the Package Piledriver on the announce desk but Orton was able to counter and attempt the punt, but Owens was able to escape through the crowd.

Jimmy Uso vs. The Miz
Next up was Jimmy Uso taking on The Miz after their backstage interaction earlier in the night. This match was relatively quick, with Jimmy Uso picking up the win with the Uso splash. After the match, Jimmy grabbed a headset and warned Gunther he was coming for him this Monday.
Rest in Peace, Jackass
Backstage, McIntyre was heading to the pub where he embraced Lewis Capaldi and then was interviewed by Jackie Redmond, where he complained that Damian Priest didn’t show up tonight. Drew went to leave, but Priest was waiting for him, and the two brawled on some unlucky guy’s car. Priest then hit South of Heaven on the car’s windshield, finishing with “Rest in Peace, Jackass” as McIntyre yelled about glass in his eye. CM Punk then walked by and smiled at McIntyre in agony.
I can’t lie this Damian and Drew feud is kinda cooking…#Smackdown

Contract Signing
Nick Aldis was in the ring to introduce the main event contract signing segment. First out was Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman to a massive reaction. Reigns looked at how the table and chairs were set up with two on one side and one on the other, and gave Paul Heyman a puzzled look. Heyman immediately moved one of the chairs to the head of the table, much to Reigns’ delight as the crowd sang “Roman Reigns” over and over. Reigns signed the contract and was promptly interrupted by Seth Rollins, who also got a big reaction and, of course, a sing-along with his theme. Rollins brought up how twelve years ago, he and Roman “completed” their mission in this building. Reigns retorted by saying that “we” died years ago, and he was there doing the work. Rollins said that Reigns let the biggest snake in the world into the garden, and he had to clean up the CM Punk mess that Reigns made. With that, Rollins signed the contract as CM Punk’s music hit.
Punk said he was there to chew bubblegum and sign a contract, but he was all out of bubblegum. When he went to sign, Reigns antagonized him for taking too long. Heyman approached Punk, saying that he knew what Punk was looking for and that it was in there. He’s closing the show at Wrestlemania. Heyman said that CM Punk would be a WrestleMania main eventer. Rollins flipped out at this, saying Punk didn’t deserve it as Punk wiped away tears from his eyes.

Roman Reigns demanded a thank you for closing the show, so Punk obliged in a mocking manner, finally signing the contract. Punk then revealed that that was not the favor he was owed as the show quickly cut to black.
Final Thoughts
The hot European crowd trend continued at first, although this crowd definitely died out in the middle of this show, which didn’t happen in either of the previous two weeks. Just as the Aleister Black and Rey Fenix teases felt like they’d be going on too long, they finally revealed that Fenix would be debuting next Friday on Smackdown from Chicago. Also, the staredown between Charlotte and Jade teased a much more intriguing match than Stratton/Flair, which is equal parts exciting and unfortunate.
