Bate suffers a loss in his first match back.
New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) were in the ring awaiting their opponents on Monday Night Raw and out came General Manager Adam Pearce.
He revealed their opponents to be Pete Dunne and the returning Tyler Bate. It was Bate’s first match since July 2024. He was out of action after undergoing surgery for a torn left pectoral muscle and tendon that he tore off the bone.
Emerging victorious from the match were The New Day by pinning Dunne. Afterwards, they called their shot at the World Tag Team Championships and they were then confronted by the champions, The War Raiders (Ivar & Erik).
