On April 18th, WWE is going to present the 2025 installment of their Hall of Fame ceremony from Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to the list of names scheduled to be inducted, a match is going to be inducted for the first time.

Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart’s bout from WrestleMania 13 is being added as an ‘immortal moment.’ While Austin was doing a private signing for American Icon Autographs, he shared his thoughts about the honor.

Yeah. Yes and no (Austin responded when asked if the honor means anything to him). I mean, yeah, because it was a hell of a match and we knew it at the time and I think it was good. It was in Chicago, but Chicago’s kind of a stronghold for me. But, it would have worked anywhere. But the fact that it happened with Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and there’s a couple of behind the scenes stories that I don’t want to talk about but, it was a hell of a match and it’s cool for people to still remember it damn near what? 30 years later. So yeah, it means something to me because, I don’t know, if it wasn’t for the fans, I wouldn’t be sitting here so the fact that that match is relevant and it’s going into the 2025 Hall of Fame for matches and it’s the first match to be inducted, cool.

Austin and Bret’s match is joining Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger and The Natural Disasters (Typhoon & Earthquake) in the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class.
