A documentary recounting the story of WWE’s 1993 Wrestlemania from Las Vegas, Nevada, is set to come out next week.
“Wrestlemania IX: Becoming a Spectacle” is scheduled to release on April 11 via NBC streaming service Peacock, as announced on Wednesday morning.
A trailer for the documentary teases that it will tell “the untold story” of the event, a time that was considered by some to be an incredibly ambitious event for the promotion.
The main event of Wrestlemania IX saw Hulk Hogan win an impromptu WWF World Heavyweight Championship match against Yokozuna, who had defeated Bret Hart to gain the title just moments earlier. The show also included a third Wrestlemania appearance for The Undertaker, who would go on to build a streak of 21 consecutive wins at Wrestlemania before it was broken by Brock Lesnar in 2014.
