Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Powerhouse Hobbs & Tomohiro Ishii

** A really solid opening tag match featured Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family taking on Powerhouse Hobbs & Tomohiro Ishii. Ishii took the pin from Fletcher after a tombstone piledriver and a Protodriver.

Fyter Fest returns as four-hour special

** During the opening match, Tony Schiavone announced AEW Fyter Fest on June 4 at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. He said it would be “an epic four-hour television special”.

Max Caster’s Open Challenge

** Owen Hart Cup contender Mark Briscoe was the latest to answer Max Caster’s open challenge, pinning him after a Jay Driller in this brief match. Beforehand, Caster announced that he would issue an open challenge at AEW Dynasty Zero Hour on Sunday.

Jay White Speaks

** Jay White was backstage with Lexi Nair, who said he had a broken hand. Sporting a cast on his left wrist, he blamed the Death Riders for his injury. He promised retribution, and also set his sights on Will Ospreay when he returns.

Top Flight vs. CRU

** Another match with interference as Leila Grey distracted Lio Rush and Action Andretti, allowing Top Flight to get the early upper hand. Dante pinned Andretti for the win, but CRU quickly got the upper hand after the bell. AR Fox came out to help Top Flight, but all three were laid out after Nick Wayne emerged to join forces with Rush and Andretti.

** After the brawl, Tony Schiavone announced Top Flight & AR Fox vs. CRU & Nick Wayne in a trios match at the AEW Dynasty Zero Hour pre-show on Sunday.

** Jamie Hayter and Bille Starkz spoke backstage before their upcoming Owen Hart Foundation tournament match.

Garcia and Cole get heated

** Daniel Garcia and Adam Cole were backstage with Matt Menard and the Undisputed Kingdom. Once the two were alone, Cole told Garcia he “wasn’t ready”. The pair got in each other’s faces before Garcia grabbed his TNT Championship and left.

PAC vs. Cash Wheeler

** The Death Riders and Rated FTR got involved during the match. During the melee, PAC managed to grab the pinfall on Wheeler, while Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Cope, and Cash Wheeler all brawled. After the match, Cope and FTR put on a show of unity ahead of their match for the AEW Trios Titles on Sunday.

‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey vs. Dralistico

** Ricochet came out to join commentary for this fast-paced match. Bailey got the win, despite Dralistico’s partner Beast Mortos making his presence felt. However, Ricochet attacked Bailey after the match, laying him out.

** Kris Statlander and her first-round Owen Hart Cup opponent, Thunder Rosa, were interviewed together backstage by Lexi Nair. Things escalated quickly.

** Ahead of their tag match with Julia Hart and Athena, Mercedes Moné and Harley Cameron were getting ready backstage. The two were less than best buddies.

Mercedes Moné & Harley Cameron vs. Athena & Julia Hart

** A worthy main event that was a lot of fun, with some teases of what might be to come between Moné and Athena if that pair ends up meeting in the Owen Hart Cup.

Athena & Julia Hart got the win after Hart tapped out Harley Cameron with an octopus hold. Mercedes, who faces Julia on Sunday in their first-round Owen Hart match, left Harley to be submitted.
