A new World TV Champion is crowned.
The first championship match of the evening at NJPW’s Sakura Genesis event was El Phantasmo defending the World Television Title against Great-O-Khan.
It was a back and forth bout and throughout it, Phantasmo’s wrapped up shoulder was a hinderance for him. The conclusion of the bout saw both talents on the outside of the ring and O-Khan scooped Phantasmo up and drove him head and shoulder first into chairs that were set up on the outside of the ring.
Phantasmo was not able to make the referee’s 20-count and as a result, he lost the match and his championship.
O-Khan is the seventh NJPW World Television Champion. Phantasmo’s reign ended at 91 days.
