Following the action of AEW Dynasty, a post-show media scrum took place hosted by Renee Paquette and AEW President Tony Khan. Below are the highlights from Khan’s solo scrum session and when guests joined the stage.

Tony Khan

  • The most humbling/challenging experiences that he’s had since AEW’s launch were the deaths of Jon Huber (Brodie Lee) and Jamin Pugh (Jay Briscoe).
  • He’s interested in presenting either a Dynamite or a Collision from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • Khan spoke about his comments from the pre-Dynasty media call that had to with the Chris Jericho-Bandido title versus mask match for the ROH World Title not being official at that point. Khan wanted to make sure the family and all the right pieces would be present. Right after the media call, the personal situation that he was referring to was resolved. Khan found some of the online discourse about why the match had not been official at that point to be funny.
  • He’s interested in the idea of working on an AEW app.
  • Khan states that AEW was going to run a pay-per-view in Philadelphia in 2020 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • He confirmed that Orange Cassidy is injured. Fightful Select first reported the news of Cassidy’s injury and noted that the belief is that he has a torn pectoral muscle.

Anthony Bowens

  • Bowens brought up how many times he’s saved Max Caster from fines and saved his job after Caster’s ‘sh*tty raps.’ He said Caster should burn his boots and focus on his rap tour.
  • He credited Tony Khan for securing the rights to ‘Underground’ by Jane’s Addiction for his theme.
  • Bowens expressed that he’d love to be AEW’s first gay singles champion.

‘Timeless’ Toni Storm

  • Storm was invited to appear on the red carpet for the TMC Classic Film Festival on April 27th.
  • She’ll be addressing the remaining competitors in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament on the 4/9 Dynamite.
  • Tony Khan said AEW would love to have Wendi Richter when Storm was asked when is the match between them happening.
