Arn Anderson credited as the brains behind The World’s Greatest Tag Team.
For several years under the WWE banner, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas were billed as The World’s Greatest Tag Team. They were a part of Team Angle that was headed by Kurt Angle.
Along the way, Benjamin and Haas became two-time WWE Tag Team Champions. Benjamin shared during an interview on Huge Pop Radio that Arn Anderson was ‘the brains’ behind his team with Haas.
Arn Anderson was, in my opinion, the brains of Team Angle. Most people think it’s Kurt that guided us but, Arn Anderson is the brains behind Team Angle World’s Greatest Tag Team because he would take us in the ring and like a coach, we’d get some extras and like a coach, he would run plays with us. So all of our cool tag team — the reason me and Charlie (Haas) synched so well is because of Arn Anderson.
Present day, Benjamin is holding AEW World Tag Team gold with Bobby Lashley as The Hurt Syndicate. They’ve had the championships since January and have had three successful defenses thus far.
