When John Oliver addressed the topic of a “fish doorbell,” few likely expected that WWE would somehow come up in the conversation.

But surprisingly, WWE LFG talent Shiloh Hill was mentioned as part of the segment, allowing Oliver to take a friendly dig at the up-and-coming talent.

Sunday’s episode of Last Week Tonight featured the topic of Visdeurbel, an online feed which allows viewers to control a doorbell for fish who want to pass through a gateway in the waters of Utretch, Netherlands.

The comical nature of the idea of ringing the doorbell for a fish – as if it were a guest entering a house – got the attention of many recently, including WWE’s Hill. He alerted his followers about the development in a TikTok he posted last month, which went viral on the app.

Hill’s video was used on Last Week Tonight to help explain the fun internet trend. But, as Oliver walked viewers through the process, he couldn’t help but also make mention of the contrast between Hill’s in-ring persona and his real-life name.

“That man is a WWE wrestler who goes by the ring name Shiloh Hill,” Oliver said. “Which, to be honest, isn’t a top-tier wrestling name. It sounds more like the title of an unwatchable indie film. But it gets even more confusing when you find out that his real legal name is Thunder Justice Keck. I am completely serious. Imagine having the name Thunder Justice and using something else to wrestle under. It’d be like finding out my legal name was Zippy Bookworm. Why change?”

Hill posted the clip, joking that he didn’t expect to see himself “getting flamed” on TV.

Hill is among the many names featured on the inaugural season of WWE’s “Legends & Future Greats” reality show, which has been airing on A&E since February.

He signed with the promotion back in 2022 under an NIL deal after playing as an outside linebacker for the Stanford Cardinals for four years. He made appearances on the now defunct NXT Level Up program prior to appearing on LFG.
