Cody Rhodes: I can tell Dustin Rhodes isn’t done

At 55 years old, Dustin Rhodes has put together a wrestling career longer than most. And despite being in what might be the twilight years of his career, he’s still an active worker involved in notable storylines.

Just last month Rhodes claimed the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships alongside Marshall and Ross von Erich, defeating The Undisputed Kingdom to grab the belts. The title win was among a stretch of five matches over the past few weeks, marking one of his busier in-ring stints over the past few years.

Since he has surpassed the career longevity of many others, it’s not surprising that the question of retirement is asked about Dustin. However, it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere soon.

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was recently asked by Sports Illustrated about the work that his brother Dustin has been doing in AEW and ROH. Cody reacted positively to his continued in-ring run and said that he believes there’s still gas left in the tank.

“I’m not surprised because I can tell he’s not done,” he told Sports Illustrated. “He hasn’t really told me what he wants to do next, but I can tell he’s not done.”

Cody also reflected on Dustin working with the von Erichs, a wrestling family he has an admiration for.

“Dustin doing the spot with the Von Erichs was so cool,” he said. “I have such a love for the Von Erichs. I don’t think Kevin knows this, but I studied Kevin, I watched Kevin, I was so fascinated by Kevin Von Erich. To see his kids and Dustin, it was very touching.”
