TBS Champion Mercedes Moné recently reflected on her AEW All In London 2024 match against Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., providing her first bit of insight since the match took place last weekend.
Moné successfully defended her title at All In on Sunday, beating Baker in just over 17 minutes in the third-last match of the night. While the performance was easily the biggest yet in Mone’s AEW, it received mixed opinions from viewers. For this reason, many might wonder how the champ herself felt about the match.
In her Elite Krew newsletter, Moné recently wrote about her match against Baker. While citing some regrets, Mone remained focused on the future.
“Is there anything I would have done differently? There is. Honestly, a lot,” Mone said. “But I don’t ever want to go too deep into what ifs about my matches, or life for that matter. I’ll just say that I learned a lot from the match and can only grow by continuing to try new things. I maybe would have listened to my instincts more. I feel I did things that maybe were not necessarily required for that match: things I could have saved for another time. But again, little sense in looking too far back other than what we can learn nad use moving forward. One thing is for sure, I can’t wait to do it all over again next year in Texas.”
Moné had little time to reflect on the match, as she quickly had to focus on her next title defense right after Sunday. She’s expected to meet Momo Watanabe in a Strong Women’s Championship match this Friday night as part of NJPW’s Capital Collision event in Washington, DC.
