AEW Dynamite drops in TV figures going into All Out

AEW Dynamite fell to a four-week low as the promotion rolls into its All Out pay-per-view this weekend.

The September 4 episode from Milwaukee averaged 660,000 viewers and 259,000 (0.19) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics.

The audience fell by 5% from last week while the key demo audience decreased by 15% representing the show’s lowest numbers since August 7. It was Dynamite’s fourth lowest 18-49 audience in its history for a show airing on its regular night and time slot.

Dynamite ranked #5 among cable originals on Wednesday behind two Fox News programs, the U.S. Open on ESPN, and MTV’s The Challenge.

The show peaked in the opening quarter with Daniel Garcia & MJF with 810,000 viewers and 347,000 in the demo before dropping 21% in viewers and 23% in the demo in the second quarter, according to Wrestlenomics’ reporting of the quarter hour performance.

In the 18-49 demo, male viewership fell from 203,000 to 170,000 while females dropped from 98,000 to 89,000.

The 18-34 demographic was up by 5% due to a minor increase among males from 67,000 to 72,000 this week while women were unchanged.

The major loss was among adults 35-49, which dropped by 23% from last week with an average of 155,000 viewers this week.

The Canadian viewership on TSN 2 was 105,100 viewers and 64,500 in the 25-54 demographic. It was a strong performance as the show ranked #3 among sports programming behind the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Philadelphia Phillies and coverage of the U.S. Open but was #1 in the demo ahead of those two sporting events.
