NJPW confirms injury to Jake Lee, will miss action due to right foot injury

An update on Jake Lee.

It was first reported by Tokyo Sports that Jake Lee left on a stretcher after being hurt during a match at the September 11th NJPW show. The publication noted that it was a knee injury. 

NJPW provided an update on the situation and noted that Lee suffered a right foot injury. He will miss the upcoming Road to Destruction show on 9/14. 

Jake Lee, who was scheduled to compete in Noboribetsu’s Road to Destruction card on September 14, has sustained an injury to his right foot and will be unable to compete.

We apologize to fans looking forward to seeing Jake wrestle, and appreciate your understanding. The following change has been made to the night’s card.

Jake Lee is currently undergoing valuation and his return date is to be determined. NJPW joins fans in wishing Jake a speedy, full recovery.
