Williams is champion once again.
The final match for NXT’s premiere on The CW Network was Ethan Page defending the NXT Championship against Trick Williams.
The special guest referee for the bout was CM Punk. Throughout the match, there was bickering between Punk and Page and there was a point when Page hit Williams with a G.T.S. while staring at Punk.
At the conclusion of the match, Williams ran into Punk but Punk turned Williams around and placed him in the corner so his back was not turned towards Page. Williams would go on to hit his ‘Trick Shot’ high knee to put Page down for the three count.
Williams is now a two-time NXT Champion and before the show went off the air, Punk and Page got into a shoving match and Punk hit him with a GTS.
