Jax feels she’s the best version of herself.

In September 2023, Nia Jax returned to WWE television to kick off her full-time return run with the company. Present-day, she is the reigning WWE Women’s Champion and has been in possession of the title since SummerSlam.

Coming up for Jax is a title defense against Bayley at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. She sat down with Cathy Kelley for a chat and expressed her thought that her time away from WWE was probably the best thing to happen to her. She feels she’s now the best version of herself.

It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me (time away from WWE). At first, yes, it was definitely difficult to sit there and realize I won’t be out there entertaining everybody on the road and enjoying the travels. But, it actually helped restore my passion and love for wrestling, because I felt like I was starting to lose a little bit of the why… I tell people all the time, it was one of the best things that happened to me. I felt like I reset Nia Jax… Exactly (it shifted my perspective) and now, I’m the best Nia Jax ever. I’m only getting better… because I needed to take that little bit of time off and find myself again.

Jax was released from WWE in November 2021. She first returned as a part of the 2023 women’s Royal Rumble
