Master Wato returns from ACL injury at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling, sets sights on IWGP Junior Title

For the first time since January, Wato is back.

DOUKI had an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship match against SHO scheduled for NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling.

During DOUKI’s entrance, he was ambushed from behind by his opponent. While in the ring, SHO unmasked DOUKI but that led to the champion red misting him. The match started and DOUKI defeated SHO to retain in 14 seconds.

Shortly after, he was attacked by fellow House of Torture member Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Evening the odds was the returning Master Wato, who’s been sidelined since January with a torn ACL injury. Wato stated that he’s healthy and wants to challenge DOUKI for the IWGP Junior Title.
