David Finlay’s reign as IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion continued. He bested Hirooki Goto to retain at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling. Goto’s son and daughter were sitting ringside and his daughter was shown crying after he lost. Finlay gave them both a middle finger and then pointed a middle finger to the sky as it was shared that Goto’s father passed away. Goto embraced his children. Finlay went on to jokingly nominate Yuya Uemura as his next challenger, but Uemura is currently sidelined with torn triceps. Out came Just 5 Guys member Taichi and he demanded a title match. He avoided a sneak attack from Finlay and dropped him with a side suplex.

Shingo Takagi defeated Ryohei Oiwa to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship.

The duo of Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls had their first defense of the IWGP Tag Team Championships against Bad Luck Fale and Caveman Ugg. T.M.D.K. scored the win and afterwards, they were confronted by United Empire’s Great-O-Khan and HENARE. T.M.D.K. agreed to their title match challenge. Coming up for Nicholls and Haste is a STRONG Openweight Tag Title defense at Royal Quest IV against Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii.
