Taped edition of WWE Raw ranks behind NFL & MLB on cable

A taped edition of WWE Raw aired against heavy sports competition this past Monday ranking behind the NFL & MLB playoffs.

The October 14 episode, a taped show from St. Louis due to the European tour, averaged 1,539,000 viewers with 583,000 (0.44) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Programming Insider.

The audience was virtually identical to last week’s live episode with the demo audience dropping by 8%. The show ranked behind Monday Night Football and the ALCS game between the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees on cable.

The Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets was simulcast with 8,429,000 viewers (1.55 in 18-49) on ABC, 7,958,000 viewers (2.62) on ESPN, and 857,000 viewers (0.30) on ESPN 2. The Guardians vs. Yankees averaged 3,820,000 viewers (0.94) on TBS.

Raw averaged 1,529,000 viewers and 0.42 in the 18-49 demographic during the first hour and grew to 1,548,000 and 0.45 in the second hour with a main event featuring Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Rhea Ripley & Tiffany Stratton.

Canadian viewership figures are delayed due to the Thanksgiving holiday this past Monday.

SmackDown’s viewership from this past Friday was 315,000 viewers and 151,700 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. It ranked fourth among sports programs that night behind the CFL, NHL, and MLB playoffs and third in the demo behind the CFL & NHL.
