The final of the #1 contenders tournament for a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Championships is happening on the 10/28 Raw. It’ll be War Raiders (Ivar & Erik) versus New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) versus L.W.O. (Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee) in a Triple Threat tag bout. New Day bested A.O.P. (Akam & Rezar) to secure their spot and L.W.O. defeated American Made (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) to earn their way into the match.
After New Day versus A.O.P., R-Truth was jumped by The Final Testament because he distracted A.O.P. during the bout by going after The Miz. Woods prevented Kingston from helping Truth. Making the save were The Wyatt Sicks and they cleared the ring. Miz avoided the brawl and was left in the ring with Paul Ellering. Ellering pushed Miz out of the way when Uncle Howdy appeared so Howdy choked Ellering out with the Mandible Claw.
Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend were ringside for a tag match that saw Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) versus Raquel Rodriguez and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Legend and Jackson will face SKY and Sane on the 10/22 NXT on CW. The match on Raw was thrown out when SKY pulled Jackson over the barricade and Legend hit SKY from behind. Legend and Jackson laid out SKY and Sane in the ring. The NXT duo then went face-to-face with Rodriguez and Morgan before Rhea Ripley entered the picture. Ripley fought off Rodriguez and Morgan until Dominik Mysterio saved Liv. Rhea grabbed a hold of Mysterio and put him in the ‘Prism Trap’ submission.
NXT Champion Trick Williams was shown at ringside.
