Lashley hopes by saying it publicly, Omos will get his opportunity.
The last time Omos wrestled for WWE was in April as a part of the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Prior to that, Omos had not competed on a WWE broadcast since the men’s Royal Rumble match.
Omos’ name became a talking point during K & S WrestleFest’s virtual signing with Bobby Lashley. When asked if he sees Omos coming back to television under the new regime, he does not see Omos getting that opportunity. Lashley added that he hopes by him saying that publicly, the opportunity comes Omos’ way.
I think he should be (Lashley responded when asked if he thinks Omos will be put back into the mix of WWE TV). Unfortunately, I don’t know. I don’t know. The way that things have changed, I don’t see him having that opportunity. I hope that me saying that gets him that opportunity. But a lot of people haven’t had that opportunity and a lot of people kind of went separate ways with them. So, I don’t know what is going on right now. There’s a lot of really good talent that left.
In September, MVP recounted a conversation he had with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. He claims Levesque was adamant about Omos not becoming ‘another Big Show.’
