Block A of the NJPW Super Junior Tag League is all tied up at the top.

The Bullet Club War Dogs team of Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney now share first place with Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles as well as SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru following Wednesday’s card in Niigata.

In an upset result, Connors and Moloney lost in today’s main event to makeshift the team of Dragon Dia and Ryusuke Taguchi. The 18-minute headliner saw Dragon Gate talent Dia make an impressive comeback essentially on his own during the closing sequence, escaping a double-team move attempted by the War Dogs to achieve a roll-up pin victory.

The shock result lit the Niigata crowd of roughly 700 on fire, chanting Dia’s name to end the show.

The result, which moved Taguchi and Dia up to fourth in the A Block, also allowed the chance for a pair of other teams to catch up to the War Dogs for first place.

The House of Torture duo of SHO and Kanemaru got past BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi in Wednesday’s co-main event, winning in 12 minutes in part due to interference from Yujiro Takahashi.

TMDK’s Fujita and Eagles kept Capitan Suicida and Tiger Mask winless through three matches, defeating them in 11 minutes.
